    <title>Bridge Motorcycles to Cap&#039;n Jaspers, Plymouth</title>
    <link>https://www.bridgemotorcycles.com/local-routes/bridge-motorcycles-to-capn-jaspers-plymouth</link>
<description>This is a 52.7 mile route that will display the best the south west has to offer from the single track country roads at the start to the wide expanse that is Dartmoor National Park and culminating in sitting by the harbour side in Plymouth. There is free motorcycle parking next to Capn Jaspers although it does mean parking on cobbles. This route can be challenging as sections are in areas where animals are allowed to roam free, the speed limit on Dartmoor is 40mph (this is for a reason). Paces we would recommend on route are Caf 53, Postbridge Stores and Capn Jaspers.

Why not top and tail your ride with a tea, coffee and great food, for this ride we would recommend Caf 53 and Brookside Caf.

    <link>https://www.bridgemotorcycles.com/local-routes/cafe-53-to-torquay</link>
<description>This route is super simple as it largely sticks to a single road - the coastal A397. Starting out at Cafe 53 head towards Exminster / Dawlish and keep on the road following signs to Teignmouth and then Torquay. Once you reach La Riviera you can take in the sea views before you head back towards Exeter on the same route.

    <title>Cafe 53 to Yelverton</title>
    <link>https://www.bridgemotorcycles.com/local-routes/cafe-53-to-yelverton</link>
<description>This route is great for touring bikes as it covers stunning moorland views. Heading out from Cafe 53 ride towards the A30 roundabout and take second exit towards Ide / Dunsford. Just before you reach Dunsford you will join the B3212 and will stay on this road until you reach Yelverton. Just before you get to Yelvertonyou will reach the Warren House Inn, this makes ideal stopping point before you head back on the same road towards Exeter.

Like any route heading over Devon&#039;s moors, riders need to be on the lookout for livestock, which roam freely around the roadsides. Road surfaces are generally fine, however there can be grave on some bends - so remain vigilant if you are unfamiliarwith the route.

    <title>The 123 Run</title>
    <link>https://www.bridgemotorcycles.com/local-routes/the-123-run</link>
<description>This is the 123 ride. Being one of our longer rides at 123 miles in length (Yes I know the name is a bit cheesy), it will see you take in some of the best views that Devon has to offer. This route can be run either clockwise or anti-clockwise although, running the route anti-clockwise means crossing a dual carriageway to gain access to the Chequered Flag Caf.

There are short sections of dual carriageway riding although these are short section. Please also be aware that there is a toll bridge on the route, although motorcycles are not charged to cross (at the time of writing this) you can expect traffic to be heavy as well as a strict 30mph speed limit both before and after the bridge.

    <title>Bank Holiday Loop</title>
    <link>https://www.bridgemotorcycles.com/local-routes/bank-holiday-loop</link>
<description>This is a lovely route that shows off the very best roads that Devon has to offer, from the twist and turns of Dartmoor to the flowing road between Exeter and Dawlish. This is a great route for the bank holiday weekend. Rest stops are always important on a ride and we would recommend the full cooked breakfast at Caf 53 and the Fish &amp; Chips at Paignton Pier.

This route starts at Bridge Motorcycles in Exeter. From Bridge head West along the B312 towards Moretonhampstead, this part of the route is the most twisty and technical section of the route, so take care. Once you get into Moretonhampstead, at the cross roads turn left, watch out for traffic as this junction is slightly blind. Stay on the A382 till you get to Newton Abbot and then follow signs for Paignton. Once at Paignton Sea Front you want to follow signs for Torquay, this will join you onto the A379. The A379 is a great road and will take you all the way back to Exeter.

    <title>Bank Holiday Blowout</title>
    <link>https://www.bridgemotorcycles.com/local-routes/bank-holiday-blowout</link>
<description>We really are spoilt for choice in the South West, there are so many fantastic roads to ride throughout Devon that you could dedicate a week trying to ride them all and still find yourself discovering brilliant new avenues to explore. One simple, but popular route takes you on A377 between Exeter and Barnstaple. Its a brilliant road that has bit of everything; fast sweepers, tighter, more technical sections and also ample overtaking areas to get by those pesky caravans so long as you plan ahead carefully. And, heading a little bit further on to the coast will see you arrive at Croyde, where you can stop off for a bite to eat and chill by the beach before heading back.

From Bridge, turn right towards the mini roundabout and take the second exit onto Church road and follow it towards the traffic lights at the end of the road. From there turn right where youll see Sainsburys on the right hand side of the road if youll need petrol you can fill up here, or at the Esso garage slightly further up the road.

Youll now find yourself on the A377, and navigating from here should be pretty straightforward. Following the signs for Crediton will take you successfully through Exeter, once out of the city, its simply a case of following the road all the way through to Barnstaple. Along the route at Copplestone, youll need to bear right at the bridge with the traffic lights to remain on the correct route, but its all well signposted.

Following on from Copplestone the road turns super fun, and also a lot less busy too. This is where the real fun can be had. Generally the road conditions are usually good, bar the odd pothole and occasional bit of gravel, carful observation will see this easily dealt with though. The only other thing to be careful of is water runoff from surrounding hills after heavy rainfall, generally speaking though, this isnt usually too bad.

Once at Barnstaple, the pace turns down as you skirt the town following the signs for Braunton. If youre feeling like you might not necessarily want a sit-down meal in Croyde, then Squires fish and chip shop in Braunton is an excellent alternative.

At the traffic-lighted crossroads in Braunton, turn left to get to Croyde. From here its a straight road through to Croyde, and a fantastic way to end the journey it is too. Passing through Saunton, youll be rewarded with fantastic views as you hit the final stretch of road as you head around the final corners where Croyde reveals itself.

    <title>Moor, moor Dartmoor!</title>
    <link>https://www.bridgemotorcycles.com/local-routes/moor-moor-dartmoor%21</link>
<description>Dartmoor is one of those places that has a bit of everything, tight and technical sections, epic views and plenty of decent photo opportunities for post-ride bragging. Its got enough to keep you occupied for a good few days should you wish to really explore it properly, and were lucky enough to have it right on the doorstep.

Caf 53 makes a great start/finish for this ride, and is a great meeting point. From here head towards the A30, but instead of taking the slip road to the dual carriageway, head straight over the roundabout towards Moretonhampstead.

Continue following the signs to Moretonhampstead, picking up the B3212. This stretch of the route is fantastic, quite technical and very enjoyable.

At Moretonhampstead, continue on the B3212, heading towards Two Bridges. This will take you right over Dartmoor. Youll be rewarded with incredible views, with plenty of photo opportunities. Be mindful of the 40mph speed limit after you cross over the cattle grids though, it isnt uncommon to be riding through a bend to be met with sheep, ponies or even cows right in the middle of the road not something you want to be ploughing into, but spectacular all the same.

At Two Bridges, youll want to be picking up the B3357 and continue towards Poundsgate. As you approach, the road can become quite narrow, a sign of things to come. Youll approach a moderately steep hill, continue down until you see the signposted single track road that leads to Ponsworthy, pick up this road and carry along the single track road until you pick up Widcombe in the Moor where you can stop for a good cuppa. After this is where the road opens up again with the B3387, which is a brilliant expansive bit of tarmac that sees you riding past Haytor Rocks.

Continuing on from here, you head towards Bovey Tracy where, if youre pushed for time, you can pick up the A38 and head back towards Exeter.

For those wanting to explore a little more, head straight over the roundabout at Bovey Tracy, following the road until you find yourself in the town. Continue on and, once over the humpback bridge, take the first right and follow the road until just before the A38 junction, where youll see a junction that turns onto the B3193.

This stretch of road is our favourite of the ride, its pretty technical, but not too slow either. Youll also get the waft of wild garlic in your helmet as you travel through the wooded sections too! Just be mindful that this is also a fairly popular route with cyclists, but on the whole though, its generally pretty quiet.

    <title>The RAT Run</title>
    <link>https://www.bridgemotorcycles.com/local-routes/the-rat-run</link>
<description>This 43 mile loop starts and ends at Bridge. This is a great run for a quick Sunday Blast.

This route runs along the old A30 through Tedburn St. Mary and onto Whiddon Down, this is a great fast following section of road. If you are looking for a stop we would recommend the Whiddon Down services, the Hog &amp; Hedge serves a great cup of coffee. The route then turns North towards Bow and on to Copplestone. On the run back through to Exeter we would recommend turning right by the church at Cowley as on your return to Bridge this cuts out the big Exe Bridge roundabout.

    <title>Devonshire Dumpling</title>
    <link>https://www.bridgemotorcycles.com/local-routes/devonshire-dumpling</link>
<description>This route is a cocktail of fast and open sweepers with some tighter and more technical sections and more than just a few fantastic views of the Devonshire countryside. Allowing an hour and a half to two hours to complete it with a coffee stop, this route starts and finishes at Bridge and will see you covering about 43 miles in total.

Heading out from Bridge, youll want to find the large roundabout that connects you to the A30 before bypassing it for the road that runs alongside it, signposted towards Ide and Dunsford. At Pocombe Bridge, turn right towards Tedburn St. Mary, where the road opens up to some decent sweepers and fast straights. These continue as you pass through Cheriton Bishop and through Crockernwell, criss-crossing over the A30 and meeting some brilliant views as you skirt along Dartmoor.

Fill up at the Whiddon Down service station if needed, before turning onto the A3124 for some tighter and more technical twisties. Its a brilliant stretch of road, but be wary of slow-moving farm traffic and mud on the roads if the weathers been bad.

Reaching a junction at the end, turn onto the A3072 for some more fast sweepers before joining up with the A377 at Copplestone, following the road through Crediton and back into Exeter, go in early afternoon to miss the extra rush-hour traffic.

Follow the A377 through the City before taking a left after the Sainsburys petrol station to find yourself back at Bridge for a spot of tea at Caf 53.

    <title>North Devon Coastal Route</title>
    <link>https://www.bridgemotorcycles.com/local-routes/north-devon-coastal-route</link>
<description>Starting at Cafe 53 head towards Launceston on the A30 before heading on to the A388 towards Bude. From Bude, riders can sample the stunning northern coastline of Devon (via of the A39) until they reach Bideford. The A386 takes you back towards the A30 near Okehampton and towards the end of your 130 mile journey.

Riders will find the road relatively quiet at this time of year, however like many rural roads quality can vary in places, so take extra care if you&#039;re unfamiliar in this area.

    <title>The Green Loop</title>
    <link>https://www.bridgemotorcycles.com/local-routes/the-green-loop</link>
<description>This is a great days ridding, taking in 3 areas of outstanding natural beauty (Dartmoor, Exmoor and East Devon Area of Outstanding Beauty). This ride will show the best of Devon from the northern coast road to the twisty roads by Eaglescott Airfield.

On this route there are multiple great places to stop from Caf 53 in Exeter to multiple cafes in Porlock or Lynton. Coming into the Autumn and Winter months the roads from Moreton House to Lynton are frequented by agricultural vehicles thus some section of the roads maybe covered in mud and other slippery objects.

Wanting to make this route shorter, for whatever reason (probably the great British weather!) the route has multiple major roads crossing (M5, A361, A30 and A377) it that can cut corners off and save a little time.

    <link>https://www.bridgemotorcycles.com/local-routes/cafe-53-to-seatown-and-back</link>
<description>Starting out at Cafe 53 head towards the Sidmouth road (A3052). Follow the road until you reach Lyme Regis, before joining the A35 and stay on this road until you reach Chideock. AtChideock turn right and follow the lane down towards Seatown and the Coast. Once you reach the picturesquebeach you&#039;ll find the Anchor Innwhich is an ideal stopping point before you head back along the route from which you came.

If the sunisout and you are going for an afternoon blast be sure to take Sunglasses, travelling out to Seatown (west to east) you&#039;ll be riding directly towards the setting sun. The roads for this route are in relatively good condition, however, sections of the Sidmouth are alignedwith trees - so take care.

    <title>Torquay, Newton Abbot, Exeter - Round Route</title>
    <link>https://www.bridgemotorcycles.com/local-routes/torquay-newton-abbot-exeter-round-route</link>
<description>This is a great 50 mile round route that shows off what the Exeter area has to offer. The route is great both clock-wise or counter clock-wise, this route has a bit of everything from the coastal road by Dawlish to the canopy covered roads of Haldon Forest.

We would like to thank Andy Wallace for this route, he said that it is a nice challenge on his 1959 Moto Morini Corsaro but also fun on his Triumph Daytona 675 as well.
