Let’s face it, the weather in the UK is questionable at the best of times and as motorcyclists, we are exposed to the very worst this country can throw at us. This makes the choice of gear very important to keep your core at the right temperature.
For those who ride only in the summer months, this can mean wearing ventilated bike clothing to promote airflow and keep you cooler – sweating too much will not only leave you smelling worse than a dumpster, but can also lead to rapid dehydration.
Riding in the winter also comes with its own challenges, namely keeping dry and warm. The cold and wet will chill you to the bone which will not only leave your teeth chattering, but can also lead to fatigue and loss of feeling in your limbs – hardly ideal when you’re operating the controls of your bike.
Ensuring that your protective gear fits properly is also of the utmost importance when choosing what to wear on your bike. Each manufacturer’s sizing will vary slightly and as such, will fit slightly differently depending on your body shape. A well-fitted cheaper garment will always protect you better in the event of an accident than a more expensive, but ill-fitting equivalent.
We stock a wide range of clothing from Dainese, Alpinestars, RST, Oxford, Triumph and Bull-It and, with plenty to choose from, you can be sure to find what you’re looking for at our showroom.
