To start of the new decade with a bang, we’re proud to finally be able to reveal to you our brand new state-of-the-art Service Department, making it one of the very best facilities in the country so you can take greater confidence in the quality of the care we give your machine when you bring it to us.
It’s been a huge investment, but one that we thought necessary to match the vast wealth of experience offered by our factory-trained Service Technicians, and ensuring that Bridge offer a servicing facility that’s unmatched by any other dealership in the South West.
Our Aftersales Manager, Shaun Lock is over the moon with the new facility; “I started working for Bridge when I was 16 in 1990, back then I was involved with race teams and using state of the art workshop setups that we had in the paddock environment. It’s always been a dream of mine to work in an environment like this and could always see the benefits of having a state of the art service department.” he stated. “Now we’re able to offer this to all of our customers and on a larger scale, I don’t think you’ll find a better service facility in any dealership anywhere in the world.
“I believe that with a better work environment then it’ll reflect in the standard of work carried out. And, I couldn’t be any more proud, or happier about what we’ve achieved and what we’re able to offer our customers all thanks to this amazing facility!”
The whole space has been completely renovated and upgraded, literally from the ground up! The first thing to be done was strip the old workshop and demolish the shack that was located at the rear of the space ready for the new equipment before the walls were freshly painted and the whole floor was resurfaced; no small task considering that new pits had to be dug for the sunken workbenches.
Over the following week, the floor was then prepped and the new flooring completed. Then came the fun part; installing the new equipment and workbenches. This in itself took nearly a week to complete when all of the wiring and fitting was carried out, before then having the finishing touches added.
The servicing departments in many other dealerships can often be neglected as they’re not in customer view most of the time. The huge investment needed to bring ours up to the state-of-the-art standard that we have now was worth every penny, and the folk over at Pro Bike, who outfitted the project, have really given Bridge a working area to be proud of, and that our Service Technicians are proud to work in.
If you’d like to see it for yourself, then we’ll be opening the doors to the public on Saturday 18th January. So, why not pop on down?
