Thank You for Supporting Devon Air Ambulance at Bridge Bike Nights 2025

On behalf of everyone at Devon Air Ambulance and Bridge Motorcycles, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all who joined us for our Bike Nights throughout 2025. Thanks to your incredible generosity, enthusiasm, and community spirit, we raised a fantastic £1,116.69 across four unforgettable events!
Every pound raised helps keep Devon’s Air Ambulances flying and ensures our Critical Care Teams can continue providing life-saving care to patients when every second counts. Your continued support makes a real and lasting difference.

In September alone, our teams were tasked to 145 incidents — that’s an average of four missions every day. Our helicopters launched 99 times, our Critical Care Cars responded to 46 emergencies, and our Volunteer Responders were called out on three occasions to provide essential support.

Our busiest day was Monday, proving that emergencies don’t wait for the weekend. Of those missions, 46.6% were trauma-related and 53.4% were medical emergencies, showing the wide range of critical situations our crews respond to across the region.

While most of our missions took place across Devon, 26 incidents saw our teams cross county borders to help patients further afield — including 3 in Dorset, 12 in Somerset, and 1 in Cornwall. This highlights how your continued support enables us to reach those in need, wherever they are.
The month’s callouts included 23 patients suffering cardiac arrests, 27 with accidental injuries, and 16 involved in road traffic collisions. Our crews also undertook 24 missions in the hours of darkness, ensuring help was always available, day or night.

In total, we provided care to 97 patients — including 61 aged between 18 and 69, 25 aged 70 and over, and 11 children. The hospital we transported the most patients to was Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital, with 23 patients taken there for further treatment.

These incredible numbers reflect not only the dedication of our aircrew and clinical teams but also the generosity and passion of supporters like you. Without the backing of our local community — including everyone who attends our Bike Nights, volunteers, donates, and spreads the word — we simply couldn’t continue our vital work.
From everyone at Devon Air Ambulance and Bridge Motorcycles, thank you once again for your ongoing support. Together, we’re helping to save lives, one mission at a time.
