CBT
Compulsory Basic TRaining
Course Info
Our starter course, covering the Compulsory Basic Training you need to ride a motorcycle up to 125cc (no theory test necessary). All instructors have been assessed to our high standards, and you will learn on the latest Honda bikes. If successful, you’ll leave with a CBT certificate. Anyone over 17 years old can then ride a motorcycle up to 125cc like the MSX125 while 16 year olds can ride a moped like the NSC50R. The 1 day CBT is most suitable for riders with previous riding experience or looking to renew. The 2 day CBT is most suitable to those with very limited or no previous experience on a motorcycle or of being on the road.
Your course
- You start in the classroom where your instructor will provide you with riding gear and take you through the equipment.
- You’ll then get a good look at your bike or scooter and learn where everything is and what it does.
- Once you’ve got to grips with the basics like turning the bike off and on and braking, you’ll ride round the training area to familiarise yourself with your machine.
- After a thorough pre-ride briefing, you’ll be taken out on the road for at least 2 hours.
- If you’re instructor is confident in your abilities on the road, you’ll leave with a CBT certificate.

STEPPING UP
UPGRADE LICENCE COURSE
Course Info
These are designed for anyone with a CBT certificate and a theory test under their belt who are now ready for a bigger licence and a bigger bike. Our qualified instructors can get you up to A1, A2 or A standard – although the usual age restrictions apply. An A1 licence will permit you to ride any motorcycle up to 125cc; an A2 licence, up to a 35KW, and a A licence will give unlimited access to ride any of the Honda Motorcycle range.

FULL COURSE
JUST RIDE
Course Info
4/5 days intensive training, takes you from novice to full-on rider, qualified to ride with a full licence. Work your way up from 125 to taking on bigger engine sizes first in a training environment and then on-road. In next to no time at all, you’ll walk away able to jump on anything from the incredible Honda range subject to licence type.
Your course
- Get ride prepared by working with a 125 to hone your skills.
- As soon as your Honda instructor feels you're ready, you’ll jump onto a bigger bike and practice manoeuvring on the training area and the road.
- Once your instructor is confident in your abilities, the two of you will ride to the DVLA centre to take your Mod 1 off-road test.
- After your mod 1 training and test you will return on another day to practice on the road.
- On your last day, following more road practice you’ll take your Mod 2 on road test.

REFRESHER COURSE
GETTING BACK ON
Course Info
If you haven’t ridden for a while, it makes sense to build your confidence back up and spend a day getting the hang of it again. You’ll enjoy all-day instruction from a Honda professional. So as well as jogging your memory, you’ll learn new skills, techniques and a few safety tips.
Your course
- All refresher training includes some off-road practice first.
- When you’re comfortable your Honda instructor will take you back out on the road.
- The instructor will tailor the remainder of the day according to your ability.
- You’ll leave with a personal assessment of how you have performed.
