Bike Maintenance Evening Recap

On the 22nd of February, our team hosted a special maintenance evening that was both informative and hands-on. It was a fantastic opportunity for bike enthusiasts to delve into the world of bike maintenance. The evening kicked off with our expert technicians providing personalised guidance to all attendees. From beginners to seasoned riders, everyone had something to gain from the event. We aimed to ensure that each participant left feeling confident in their ability to maintain their bikes.

Throughout the event, we covered a range of essential topics. We started with basic bike anatomy, breaking down the different parts of a bike and explaining how they work together. Understanding the basics is crucial for anyone looking to keep their bike in top condition. Next up, we delved into the essential tools needed for basic maintenance tasks. Learning about the right tools and how to use them properly is key to performing maintenance effectively and safely. We also tackled chain maintenance, covering everything from cleaning and lubricating to adjusting for smooth shifting and increased longevity. A well-maintained chain is essential for a smooth and enjoyable ride. We emphasised the importance of preventative maintenance. Regular maintenance tasks can help keep your bike in excellent condition and prevent costly repairs down the line.

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who joined us on the 22nd of February! Whether you were fine-tuning your knowledge or getting familiar with the basics, it was fantastic to see you all. Your participation not only contributed to a fun and educational evening but also supported a great cause. All proceeds from the event have been donated to Devon Air Ambulance, aiding their vital missions.

For those who missed out, don't worry! We're hoping to host another bike maintenance evening soon, so stay tuned for the date announcement. It's never too late to learn how to keep your bike in top condition and enjoy a smoother, safer ride.
