Introducing the All-New Honda CBR500R FOUR – A New Era of Four-Cylinder Sports Riding

Honda is bringing the thrill of four-cylinder sportsbike performance to a new generation of riders with the all-new 2027 Honda CBR500R FOUR. Developed from the ground up, this exciting new middleweight sports motorcycle combines a high-revving inline four-cylinder engine, Honda’s innovative E-Clutch technology and sharp, race-inspired styling to deliver a premium sportsbike experience in an accessible and practical package.

With arrivals expected in January 2027, the new CBR500R FOUR is an exciting addition to Honda’s sportsbike range – and one prospective riders will want firmly on their radar.

All-New Inline Four-Cylinder Performance

At the heart of the CBR500R FOUR is an all-new, high-revving inline four-cylinder engine, engineered to deliver the exhilarating character and unmistakable excitement that sportsbike enthusiasts love.

Producing an impressive 53.8kW of peak power and 47.4Nm of torque, the engine delivers a soaring rush of performance all the way to its 12,500rpm redline. A ram-air-fed downdraft intake system further highlights Honda’s focus on performance-focused engineering.

Whether you're looking to make every ride more exciting or step into the world of four-cylinder sportsbikes, the CBR500R FOUR promises an engaging riding experience backed by Honda’s renowned engineering quality.

Sharp Styling with a Purpose

The CBR500R FOUR introduces a completely fresh design, with sleek, mass-forward bodywork that flows towards a sharply upswept tail unit. Twin LED projector headlights give the front end an unmistakable presence, creating a modern sportsbike silhouette that looks every bit as purposeful as its performance suggests.

Beneath the styling, a steel tube diamond-style frame provides the foundation for a carefully specified chassis package. A 41mm KYB upside-down front fork works alongside an aluminium swingarm and Pro-Link rear shock, while Nissin two-piston radial-mount brake calipers and twin 296mm discs provide stopping power, supported by two-channel ABS.

The result is a motorcycle designed to combine sporting character with the practicality needed for real-world riding.

Honda E-Clutch Comes as Standard

Making the CBR500R FOUR even more appealing is Honda’s standard-fit E-Clutch technology, bringing an additional level of convenience and control to the riding experience.

Combined with the bike’s accessible middleweight positioning and everyday practicality, the E-Clutch helps make the CBR500R FOUR an exciting prospect for riders who want sportsbike thrills without compromising on usability.

For riders working towards their next motorcycle, Honda has also confirmed that a 35kW A2 licence power-limited version will be available, opening the door to even more riders looking for their next sportsbike.

Rider-Focused Technology

Modern sportsbike performance is about more than engine output, and Honda has equipped the CBR500R FOUR with technology designed to help riders tailor their experience.

Three default riding modes allow riders to manage engine output and character, while two USER modes provide additional customisation. Through these USER settings, riders can tailor Engine Power, Engine Brake and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) to suit their preferences.

Settings are managed through a 5-inch TFT display and backlit four-way toggle switch, giving the cockpit a contemporary, rider-focused feel. A conveniently positioned USB-C socket, located at the bottom right of the screen, also makes smartphone charging straightforward.

From everyday journeys to taking the longer way home, the CBR500R FOUR combines its sporting credentials with features designed for modern motorcycling.

Choose Your CBR500R FOUR Colour

The 2027 Honda CBR500R FOUR will be available in two striking colour options:

  • Ignition Red – a bold, unmistakably sporty finish.

  • Mat Ballistic Black Metallic – a stealthy, contemporary look with serious road presence.

Honda is also introducing a new range of genuine accessories from launch, allowing owners to tailor their motorcycle to their needs. Available options include heated grips, a tall screen, an alarm system and luggage options, with more accessories available.
